Dosa Kitchen earns first Good Food Guide listing

Jesmond’s Dosa Kitchen has been included in the Good Food Guide for the first time having won high praise from celebrities visitors and local diners.

The guide, an industry benchmark since 1951, praised the restaurant’s “super fair” pricing and its “vibrant inclusive” atmosphere.

The listing also highlighted the namesake dosas, saying they are served “roasted with homemade ghee or stuffed with the house potato masala” and are “big, crisp and shiny, while the parathas are gloriously ragged and the pooris puffy.”

The vegan and vegetarian offerings, along with the “homespun takes on chicken and lamb classics” were also praised as were the “particularly good” sapaad feasts offered on Sundays.
