Whether you love it or hate it, black pudding is so important in the UK that it has its own national day of celebration on March 18.
The team at Turnbull’s in Alnwick are big fans too and to mark the occasion they’re hosting a week-long celebration with 10 different kinds of black pudding to try.
The flavours on offer throughout the week include Traditional, Guinness, Fruity, Percy Special, Rum & Raisin, Gin & Berry, Geordie, Black & White, Chilli, and Apple & Cinnamon.
The bakery team has also cooked up three specials for the week – Steak & Black Pudding Pie; Pork, Stilton & Black Pudding Pie; and Black Pudding Scotch Eggs.
