Brocksbushes has partnered with Bays Leap Dairy Farm to offer fresh, organic milk and milkshakes in its farm shop via a milk vending machine.
The fresh milk – which comes from just eight miles away – adds to the array of homemade treats, fruit from the farm, and fantastic local produce available in the farm shop.
Brocksbushes’ Harry Dickinson said: “We’ve been growing, making and sourcing local food and drink for the past 40 years, so to be able to stock such delicious, quality milk sourced so close to home is brilliant. It is what Brocksbushes is all about, so when Bays Leap Dairy Farm approached us, we were thrilled. Their commitment to producing top-quality milk from happy cows that are fed with their own organically grown grass and forage is something we are proud to support.”
The vending machine is available every day in the farm shop and serves both bottles and cups of milk, and milkshakes – with strawberry, banana and chocolate flavours available as well as two featured flavours which change regularly. Reusable glass bottles are available to purchase (or you can bring your own) and the takeaway cups are fully recyclable too.
Bays Leap Dairy Farm’s Katie Daly added: “We have been selling our organic whole milk direct to the public from our farm at Heddon on the Wall since March 2021 via our vending machines and we are really excited for the expansion into our first off-site vending machine at Brocksbushes Farm Shop. It’s really exciting progress for us and Brocksbushes is enabling us to make local, organic quality milk and milkshakes accessible to more customers in the North East.”
