House of Tides launches After Hours

House of Tides After Hours

Michelin-starred House of Tides on Newcastle’s Quayside has introduced a new experience on Sunday evenings.

After Hours sees the downstairs space shift into a looser, livelier environment every Sunday after 6.30pm.

Built around the spirit of the great Parisian brasseries, the menu is tight and confident, while the cocktail lineup includes original creations built around quality spirits and house-made ingredients. Meanwhile, the wine list features bottles from small growers and fizz from some of Europe’s finest vineyards. The experience is brought together with a playlist rooted in 80s synth pop and a rotating roster of guest DJs.

“It’s exciting to be in a position to give the team the freedom to create a space where people can get together in informal surroundings, eat simple tasty dishes, and chill with a cocktail while they listen to great music,” said chef-owner Kenny Atkinson. “It’s very different to what we do upstairs, and that’s exactly the point.”
