Northumberland Cheese Company has picked up three more awards in recent months.
A happy accident earned the team a bronze medal at the Artisan Cheese Awards in Melton Mowbray. The dairy team unintentionally blended sheep’s milk with cow’s milk during production, creating a cross-milked cheese with a unique flavour profile. The cheese – now named Ewe Moo and available to purchase from late-June – impressed the judges with its creamy texture and balanced character.
Meanwhile, the team also picked up a silver for new product Chillingham Cheddar and a bronze award for its Redesdale cheese at the British Cheese Awards.
