Luxury hotel and country estate Matfen Hall has confirmed its status as a five-star destination and received a number of top-tier awards.
The Grade II-listed mansion set in 300 acres of Northumberland parkland has retained its position as the first and only AA Five-Star hotel in Northumberland for a third consecutive year.
Meanwhile, flagship fine-dining venue The Emerald has retained its three AA Rosettes for 2026 – recognising the kitchen team’s dedication to consistent precision, the finest ingredients, and masterful approach to flavour combinations. In addition, the hotel’s traditional afternoon tea experience in The Drawing Room has received the 2025 Award for Excellence from afternoontea.co.uk
