Vanilla sugar
Ingredients
- 450g white sugar
- 1 whole vanilla pod
Method
- Pour the sugar into an airtight container, slice the vanilla pod lengthwise and use a knife to scrape out the black seeds.
- Stir into the sugar and bury the pod in the sugar.
- Cover and let stand for at least 1 week.
- When Christmas comes, present to your friends in pretty little jars tied with ribbons.
