Vanilla extract
- 10 vanilla pods, split lengthwise
- 1 litre bottle vodka
- This is so easy – just bung the pods into the vodka bottle and replace the cap. Store in a cool, dark place for anything between 3 weeks and 6 months, giving it a gentle shake every week. Decant into sterilised smaller bottles and present to your grateful friends at Christmas.
