Hot mulled cider
- 2 litres apple cider
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp allspice berries
- 4 whole cloves
- 4 star anise
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- zest of ½ lemon in thin strips
- 50g dark brown sugar
- Heat all ingredients in a large pan over a low heat.
- Serve in glass mugs.
