Vanilla sugar
 
Ingredients
  • 450g white sugar
  • 1 whole vanilla pod
Method
  1. Pour the sugar into an airtight container, slice the vanilla pod lengthwise and use a knife to scrape out the black seeds.
  2. Stir into the sugar and bury the pod in the sugar.
  3. Cover and let stand for at least 1 week.
  4. When Christmas comes, present to your friends in pretty little jars tied with ribbons.
